چکیده
Two principally different statements of the problem of stable numerical differentiation are considered. It is analyzed when it is possible in principle to get a stable approximation to the derivative f ′ given noisy data fδ. Computational aspects of the problem are discussed and illustrated by examples. These examples show the practical value of the new understanding of the problem of stable differentiation.

In this paper, we present arc-length estimations for quadratic rational Bézier curves using the length of polygon and distance between both end points. Our arc-length estimations coincide with the arc-length of the quadratic rational Bézier curve exactly when the weight w is 0, 1 and∞. We show that for all w > 0 our estimations are strictly increasing with respect to w. Moreover, we find the pa...

The paper considers the computation method in the performance evaluation of cellular network in the phase-type distribution assumptions that the channel holding times induced from mobility are modeled by well-fitted distributions to reflect an actual situation. When ww consider a phase-type distribution model instead of exponential distribution, the complexity of the computation increase expone...
متن کاملJ. KSIAM Vol.8, No.2, 23-38, 2004 SUPERCONVERGENCE OF FINITE ELEMENT METHODS FOR LINEAR QUASI-PARABOLIC INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS
We consider finite element methods applied to a class of quasi parabolic integro-differential equations in R. Global strong superconvergence, which only requires that partitions are quasi-uniform, is investigated for the error between the approximate solution and the Sobolev-Volterra projection of the exact solution. Two order superconvergence results are demonstrated in W (Ω) and Lp(Ω), for 2 ...
